How to find the version of CentOS you are running
Connect to your server via SSH, log in as root and type the following command;

Code:
cat /etc/redhat-release

This will give you the distribution version of CentOS you are running.

You can also type:

Code:
uname -a

This will give you the version of kernel as well.
