'/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: no such disk.
Debian Squeeze , Kernel update gave errors for building new grub config after drives replaced and restored from backups.
Symptom: # cat /boot/grub/device.map shows old drives, not new drives Fix: # grub-install --recheck /dev/sda Installation finished. No error reported. # grub-install --recheck /dev/sdb Installation finished. No error reported. # cat /boot/grub/device.map now shows correct drives and update process completes successfully |
